Prof. Elangovan is a distinguished academic with a profound background in statistics and business administration. He earned his B.Sc in Statistics from Annamalai University in 1982, followed by M.Sc in 1984 and M.Phil in 1988 from the same institution. Additionally, he acquired his B.Ed in 1987 and M.Ed in 1994, both from Annamalai University. Furthering his expertise, he completed MBA in 2013. Prof. Elangovan was awarded a Ph.D. in Statistics in 2000 and another Ph.D. in Business Administration in 2021, BOTH from the same institution.
With an extensive teaching career spanning 33 years at Annamalai University, Prof. Elangovan has guided and awarded 24 Ph.D. students and 43 M.Phil students in Statistics. He has published 160 research papers in prestigious national and international journals (A few papers in Scopus and Web of Science) and conference proceedings. His academic contributions include attending and presenting papers at 102 conferences worldwide and delivering 74 invited talks and lectures. Prof. Elangovan has also participated in 36 workshops, seminars, and colloquia.
His international academic engagements have taken him to the USA (Five times), France, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, UK, and UAE. He completed the Leadership Academician Programme (LEAP) with its domestic phase at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, and its international phase at the Judge Business School, Cambridge University London.
Currently, Prof. Elangovan is working as a Professor at the School of Management, SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India, where he continues to inspire and educate students with the same dedication and passion that has marked his illustrious career. He has gained a reputation of good teacher and best researchers both in Statistics and Business Administrations.
